Watching for Kitty

The weather was so warm today. Lucy wore her first pair of shorts and her fat legs looked looked so yummy in them. She loves to look out the window and watch for the kitty.

The Love of arts

Lucys 1st birthday is 5 months away, but my mom is already getting ready for it. We are searching for a perfect table and chairs for Lucy. I think I have decided on this number from PB. I LOVE the paper you can roll out and draw on.I can't wait for all the handscribbled pictures of mommy that look nothing like me.

My friend Fab sent me a link to this precious website. Although this apron would have to be worn with parental monitering(it has slots to hold crayolas) I would have LOVED this as a little girl. I will buy anything for Lucy to get her mind thinking creative!!!!

Irish Steel Cut Oats

This morning started off perfect with a bowl of Irish Oats. If you have not tried before, this way outdoes oatmeal. They are so good for you too. A little brown sugar and a dab of your favorite jam makes for a delicious morning treat along with coffee of course.

Our First Fall

Well it had to happen at some point......Lucy falling off a bed that is. As I was preparing dinner last night my sweet husband took our daughter upstairs to give her a bath. A few moments later I hear a high pitched scream and the sound of my husbands foot prints running across the floor. Total accident.......he had to use the restroom and left her on the twin bed with a pillow on top of her to hold her in place:) not such a good idea since she rolls, scoots, and rocks!! I kept calm while running up the stairs noting in my mind that whatever has happened it was not on purpose, it could have been me so don't react or lash out. She was pretty upset but with a little love and cuddling we were all back to normal.

Take Note

Ok I have seen these pop up so many times and I keep thinking about them. You put them in a box in a convienant location and write a note when your child does something new, has a accident, funny etc....so many of those little moments pass by its so important to write down then add to a scrapbook or something!

Yikes!!

Yikes its almost time to get into a baithing suit! Needed to tone up a little before I squeeze into this J Crew ensemble. I love the halter and the flirty bows on the bottoms. I'm such a girl!!

I love the womanly art of homemaking. Instead of looking worn out and frumpy at the end of the day, a cute apron is awesome to throw on while making evening dinner. I am looking at some from anthropologie to help me feel brighter towards the end of the day.

Banana Cupcakes

Yesterday I whipped up these delicious cupcakes. WOW they were good. I had a taste of one then took the rest to Ryan at work. Thank goodness they are out of the house or I would have eaten them all!

When did I use this?

I am constantly wondering....when did I use this last. Usually Lucys baby food. These timers are so cool they count how long its been since you opened it. You could use it on so many things.....endless!!

Eating my big toe and a bath with mom

Today was a sleepy rain filled day. We started off the day making banana cupcakes to take to Ryan at work. Lucy loved eating her big toe and taking a bath with mom. Rainy days make for great naps. Tonight we had hot bowls full of rice and citrus chicken stir fry. If the wind blows my internet does not work so I was without a computer for most of the day

At the lake

This sunday was spent at the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lucy and I took a big and much needed nap while Ryan sat on the porch reading. Then we all went for a family walk up and down the big hills

Saturday Morning

We have some really great lighting in our bedroom for Lucy pics! Saturday morning is spent with all three of us in bed and usually Ryan playing the guitar. Lucy will squeal with excitement.
